Why should I use a Realtor?
Great question! As a Realtor, my job is to help you buy a new home. There are over 30 steps that go into buying a new home which can be overwhelming for someone who has never bought a home. My expertise can help you find the best home for you and my experience in negotiating home sales can save you money. Most of all, buying a home is the biggest financial decision most people ever make, it only makes sense to have a professional helping you out.
How much do I have to pay you?
Nothing! The best part of this process is we do most of the work for you and you pay us nothing. The seller of the home you purchase will compensate us for bringing them a qualified buyer. You pay nothing to us!
I have no idea how much house I can afford?
No problem. The first step for everybody is to visit our mortgage center and to speak to a mortgage lender. They will gather all of your financial information and help guide you to figuring out how much home you can comfortably afford. After that appointment, you tell us what you are comfortable with and those are the homes we will show you. We never try to upsell anyone, we make sure you buy only what you are comfortable with.
I don't know what kind of home I want, what can I do?
In our initial meeting we will help you to determine what you are looking for in a home. From bedrooms and bathrooms to flooring type and counter styles, we work with you to determine what you are looking for in a home. Whatever type you decide on is what we will show you. You are making the decision on what you will buy, we are here to help.
How long does it take to buy a home?
From the time you the home you like until you close is typically 30-60 days. Most people look for homes for around 2 months, making the whole process about 3-4 months. However, some buyers want to move more quickly and some take more time. We are happy to work with your time frame. Whether is be weeks or years we will work with you until you are happy.
I don't want to buy for at least a year, should I still contact you?
Yes! There is a lot we can do in that year to ensure that you will be ready to buy a home when the time comes. We will get you in touch with a lender to fix any financial issues you might have. We can begin to educate you and start to send you homes that you might want to look at. The more you know the better off you will be when the time comes. Plus we have a great Client Appreciation Program that you will join. That offers many services, great monthly information and fun parties and contests throughout the year.
How much does it cost to buy a home?
There are some expenses to buying a home. We can go over them in more detail in our 30 minute meeting. However, there will be some fees for an attorney, a home inspection, earnest money, movers etc. The total of these will usually be around $1000-$2000, depending on which services you choose to use. Again, we can explain all of these in more detail at our first meeting.
How many home can I see?
As many as you need to, as many times as you need to. Some people are able to find the perfect home in the first four or five they see. Others need to see 50 or more. Some people can walk into a home and just know it is the one for them. Others need to look at a home two or three times before they can decide. No way is better than the other, our goal is to work with you in whatever way works best for you.
